"Yes, Rochester is a long absence from home but not necessarily an absence from your partner - even if my wife would have preferred "the Maldives" her three weeks visit in the middle of our "on campus studies" made a difference both for her and me! She was somehow more part of my MBA experience (studies, school, and mates).
She supported my studies by visiting me at Simon School and discovering the region of Rochester. By having you partner actually live part of your MBA experience you not only will succeed your studies but also your private life."

"I was with our daughter and my mother for more than four weeks in Rochester last summer. We all stayed at Rustic Village for all of the time. Try to visit your partner in any case. Obviously you will get very good support from the MBA office if you have any questions. They are all really friendly and helpful.
Regarding the partners the time in Rochester is not holiday as usual. You will be very close to the students and so you will also make the experience how their mood is changing during studying time. You will also feel how the students are put under pressure concerning time and grades etc. And you will see how happy and funny they can be. You will feel how some of them are sad because their family could not come and this is just stress for these students, without doubt.
Furthermore you will get in touch with all the other students' partners. Maybe you will make little friends with some of them. If you would like to go for one of the MBA-lessons, do so. It is very, very interesting! Looking back it was a great time. Go by yourself to Rochester. It is really worth!"

"If you have a family, take them with you! There is plenty to do for the kids during the day. They won't be bored and they help increase your efficiency drastically. Because: Who would want to have an inefficient meeting with unfocussed, lengthy discussions if every extra-minute can be spent with your wife and the kids? It worked for me, it will certainly work for you as well..."
