The general management program consists of 18 well-integrated credit course (60 U.S. credit hours, equivalent to 90 ECTS points) that follow a logical sequence proceeding from fundamental tools to strategy considerations. To get ready for the program, students can join the getting-started courses in financial accounting, communications, financial mathematics, and statistics.
The main part of the program, the credit courses start with analytical tools that lay the groundwork for the functional knowledge. The last part is dedicated to strategic and cross-functional knowledge. This set of credit courses covers all aspects of general management and at the end of the program, participants are able to see the overall picture and manage accordingly.
The different aspects covered in the credit courses come together during the capstone project when students work in teams on a real-life business plan. The program is fully taught in English.
Faculty members come from different European universities as well as from the Simon School and the Universität Bern.
