Class weekends in Thun
Most courses of the Rochester-Bern EMBA are hold in Thun. Every second week, students and professors meet from Friday to Saturday. Whenever possible, two courses are held simultaneosly and taught in turns in the morning and in the afternoon.
The bi-weekly format enables program participants to critically review, assimilate, and apply what they have heard in class. Learning requires time and perspective, which is what the format is designed to provide. The retreat character of the Congress Hotel Seepark at the Lake of Thun supports this goal
On Friday, the lunch break is generously timed and students may use the occation to do sports or to work on team assignments or papers. Before and after dinner on Friday, there is again some time for recreation or studies.
As accommodation is provided in the same facilities, courses start early on Saturday morning and are tighter scheduled. Classes are thus finished earlier and students have to chance to spend the rest of their weekend with their family.
